Starting point

Over the past decades, the Beausite Park Hotel & Spa has undergone several partial renovations. However, it has become clear that selective refurbishments are no longer sufficient to meet today’s standards. Our guests appreciate the hotel’s location and charm, but have often pointed out in their reviews that many aspects feel “old-fashioned” and that a contemporary renewal is needed. Since we take our guests’ feedback seriously and place great importance on quality and sustainability, we have decided to take a decisive step: a comprehensive renovation that not only enhances comfort and efficiency but also ensures the long-term preservation of the property for the decades to come. Our aim is not merely to achieve a more modern appearance, but to realize a sustainable transformation that combines functional improvements with a solid structural foundation. In doing so, we ensure that the Beausite Park Hotel & Spa continues to meet our guests’ expectations in the future while preserving its unique character.

A central example is the kitchen: until now, it was located in the basement, resulting in longer routes and unnecessary heat loss. As part of the first phase of renovation, the kitchen will be completely renewed and relocated to the ground floor, directly adjacent to the restaurant and bar. This will significantly increase efficiency, and our guests will benefit as well — dishes will reach the table faster and maintain their optimal temperature.

With this comprehensive renewal, we are laying the foundation for a hotel that is fit for the future, meets today’s comfort standards, and preserves the values and traditions that have always defined our house.

Phases of the renovation.

The renovation of the Beausite Park Hotel & Spa is being carried out in several stages to ensure that operations can continue throughout the coming years. Instead of a long-term complete closure, we are making targeted use of the off-seasons to modernize the property step by step. The first phase is currently underway: the basement and ground floor are being completely renewed, including the kitchen, cellar, restaurant, bar, reception, and lobby. A particularly important aspect of this phase is relocating the kitchen to the ground floor.

In a second stage, the spa area will be renovated and selected rooms will be modernized to create an even more contemporary retreat. In the long term, a third phase will include the full refurbishment of all rooms, complemented by the addition of exclusive serviced apartments above the pool. With these steps, the Beausite Park Hotel & Spa will shine in new splendor by 2030 at the latest — modern, efficient, and true to its tradition.

Alternatively, in a revised phasing concept, the second stage will include the creation of exclusive serviced apartments above the pool, while the spa area and selected rooms will also be renewed. The third and final phase will complete the full modernization of all rooms. Through this comprehensive renewal, the Beausite Park Hotel & Spa will, by 2030, stand on a modern, efficient, and tradition-conscious foundation.

Phase 1 in detail

The first phase of the renovation is already in full progress. The entire ground and basement floors have been completely stripped out: furniture, kitchen equipment, and technical installations have been removed, while usable items were kept, sold, or passed on. Several walls have already been demolished to make room for the new spatial layout.

The work is proceeding according to a clear schedule, with reopening set for December 20. Our guests can then look forward to completely new facilities: the restaurant will feature elegant seating with clean lines and a warm atmosphere; the new bar will combine modern design with classic charm; and the hotel lobby will invite guests to linger with comfortable seating and atmospheric lighting.

Phase 1 thus delivers not only visible modernization but also tangible improvements in day-to-day operations: shorter routes, more efficient workflows, and a renewed spatial experience that unites functionality and well-being.

Phases 2 and 3.

After the first stage, the second phase would follow. The plan foresees the construction of serviced apartments above the pool. To make this project possible, the structural framework of the existing pool building would need to be reinforced to support the additional weight. In this context, the entire spa area would also be renewed. In addition, the rooms adjacent to the new apartments would be modernized to create a harmonious overall appearance and ensure a consistent standard throughout.

The third phase would focus on the complete modernization of all remaining rooms. Since closure periods during the off-seasons are limited, it would not be possible to renovate the entire hotel at once. Therefore, the work is planned to be carried out step by step over several years. A preliminary timeline is already being developed, and the necessary permits will be submitted shortly.

Exclusive Serviced Apartments

The project envisions three-room holiday apartments above the hotel pool, designed in a contemporary architectural style. Each unit would be approximately 100 square meters in size and feature an open-plan living area with large windows, allowing abundant natural light and offering views of the surrounding mountains and the village of Wengen. The layout would be designed to create a seamless flow between the living room, bedroom, and kitchen areas, integrating the alpine environment into the overall living experience.

The apartments would be conceived as serviced units, allowing private use for part of the year while enabling professional rental during the remaining periods. Each residence could thus serve both as a private retreat for short stays and as a long-term investment opportunity in a highly sought-after holiday property market.

Additionally, balconies or terraces could be incorporated, providing direct views of the surrounding mountain scenery. The combination of a compact layout, bright interiors, alpine setting, and flexible usage would make the serviced apartments an attractive living concept for holiday guests and private owners alike.
